• Question: why do people have different coloured eyes?

      Because they have differnt versions of genes coding for their eye colour. They have inherited those from their parents.

      About how the different eye colours evolved I am not exactly sure but I think the first humans might all have had brown/ dark eyes and then caused by several mutations green, blue, grey evolved and they probably were an evolutionary advantage as those colours were special and maybe more attractive for mating partners.

      Anyone else any ideas?!?!?

      It’s genetics and caused by dominant and recessive genes – a very interesting area of science.
