Currently I am working on a biofuel project, so obviously it would be very exciting if we could find useful mutations that we could use to produce crops that have more accessible energy.

But what I enjoy researching the most is the oceans 😉 They are so little understood, but at the same time so very important and they fascinate me!

I really enjoy the travel and presenting my work. I enjoy our inelastic neutron scattering the most, because the experiments are far more challenging and the work is a lot newer – people just don’t know how to do the experiments yet.

I think the most interesting thing is to actually sit back and think about where these spacecraft are going, and what they will ‘see’ that no one else will. From an actual day-to-day part, for me it is the variety of engineering required to the spacecraft to work. I love the scientific challenge as well, it really is science in action!

I love seeing where animal and human health meet! Anything, from the life-cycle of a bat to the flying height of a mosquito can have huge impacts on what diseases get into people. Plus, I love chasing bats around in Ghana 😉

      Blood! 🙂
I love to see how eating can change it quite dramatically. And I love using fancy machines like mass spectrometres and flow cytometres.

Also I am always excited as I feel that there really is a connection to real life. Because we all are eating foods and can influence our health by doing so.
