Work wise… I am due to start a PhD in October so I would like to be able to do that to the best of my ability then hopefully go into lecturing afterwards 🙂

If I could do anything – I would love to be an astronaut 🙂 I could just imagine floating around in space. Only problem is I get quite travel sick!!!

I guess on a more practical level – do well in my work and play a part in ensuring future spaace success for the UK.

That was actually a great question and has really got me thinking!

Ultimately I want to be bitten by a radiactive spider so I can swing around new york helping stop criminals and so on…. but that’s unlikely to happen (I used to love spider man when I was a kid).

I’d love for my work to be cited – i.e. know that people have read it and it is helpful to them.. Ultimately I want what I do to be useful to others…

There is so much I want to do… I’ve started on some of my goals, which include building a link between my undergrad uni and the high schools in the area to help teachers and students at these schools succeed! I want to be published and know that my work is helping both scientists everywhere AND the Ghanaians who’ve been so amazing in my work. As a career, I want to be a “disease detective” (for a program called the Epidemic Intelligence Service in the CDC), and travel the world tracking new diseases. On a bigger scale, I want to help find ways to stop emerging (new) diseases from getting into people in the first place. So much better than waiting until a bunch of people get sick and then trying to figure out what to do…I also want to see the continual achievement equality for all types of people the world over. This includes women, children, same-sex couples, minorities–everyone. I can’t get that alone though 😉

Mmh, I would like to have a little impact with the science I do. First of course, I want to obtain my PhD and afterwards I want to find another exciting job that gives me a chance to learn more. I want to be kept thinking and challenged because I think I can help to solve some (small) problems. I also want to travel a lot and have some kids.
