      deoxyribonucleic acid (I think I spelled that right…) It basically means that there is a sugar ring (that’s the “ribo” part) that is missing an oxygen atom (that’s the “deoxy” part) that holds a nucleotide (that’s the “nucleic” part). The nucleotides are the unique parts that make up the different “letters” of DNA.
