  Pretty much all of them (except maybe mosquitoes!). Before I could even walk, I made my mom stop the stroller so I could watch an inch worm creep across the sidewalk. I’ve always had pets (rats, cats, a dog, a horse, a LOT of fish, a turtle, tadpoles, and so on…). How cool is it that a cichlid can change sexes, that a horse runs 40 mph on the equivalent of the first bone in your finger, or that tenebrionid beetles can drink mist they collect on their backs–the only water they can get in the Namibian desert?! Animals rock.

  cats for pets.. Meerkats if I’m at the zoo though – I love meerkats!

  Lots! I saw orang-utans in Borneo which was amazing – they are such beautiful intelligent creatures it is so sad we are destroying their home.
