Well, I could not change it’s colour anyway because it’s existing already. And I guess ‘sun’ is quite a good name for it?!

I’d make the sun bright blue, yellow and green in a swirly pattern – like austin powers type psychedelic colours…. I’d call it Mel, same name as my ex (because it’s hot and it’ll burn you!)…

      🙂

To get back to science (I have to! I’m a scientist!) The sun is very important indeed. It keeps our temperature just right and gives plants sunlight to grow. Animals eat plants. We eat plants and animals. It may also be the best chance we have to harness it’s power and stop global warming!

Oh, well, Sun is perhaps not the most exciting name! It is actually derived from an ancient English word, maybe relating to ‘south’ according to wikipedia (yes – very handy at times is wikipedia!)
Although the Sun looks yellow, it is in fact white. But; all stars emit visible radiation at a certain frequency which is why we see them as a certain colour. I’d quite like to see what our star looked like as a turquoise colour (maybe with some splashes of pink!). As for a name; Zeus, the king of the gods! (In greek mythology).
