I was a lot older than other people in my field of work. I always knew deep down that I wanted to be one, I guess I was in my own way… but due to family reasons I went to University very late in my life. Before that, and among other things I was a chef. But I am much happier now that I am working where my greatest passion is!

Oh, maybe not until I was part way through university really! It is hard as there are lots of options out there, but I really do think I made the right decision for me!

And of course, whilst at the moment I’m sure iIwill stay with science there’s no reason why I couldn’t switch careers (but I wont!)

I don’t know, probably at some time during my undergrads. (Would have been between 19 and 22 then.)

I don’t really know… I never really “made” a definite decision–guess I’m more of a “do what you want right now” kind of person. I know that I picked a uni that was strong in science, and then majored in science, and then slowly pieced together possible paths for some possible science careers. I worry sometimes still about what I’ll be when I grow up!
