      Well, I guess not directly. My hope is that we’ll understand whether or not these bats I study are hunted too much, so we can act if we need to. Also, understanding how we are truly part of the whole environment around us in terms of our health goes a long way towards promoting environmental wellbeing!

      unfortunately mine doesn’t directly. Though we do look at the pure physics behind glasses, maybe we’ll make a discovery that’ll help improve solar cells. Though I doubt it (but then, that’s the point in science – you don’t know what you’re going to find out).

      Well, in an indirect way as long term it will help us understand how the environment works and so what we can do to prevent climate change.
