No. Derren Brown did a very good series where he looked into this sort of thing recently. We are Physcologically programmed to recognise faces and to think noises are people. So we think there are ghosts when there aren’t really. Even I get a bit worried sometimes when I hear wierd noises and see strange shaddows at night! But it always turns out to be something normal. People who “speak to ghosts” employ a lot of tricks and if you want to believe them, you’re inclined to notice when they get things right and ignore when they get things wrong. Cold reading is very clever, but that’s all it is.
